Tri-County Racetrack Up Next for Castrol FloRacing Night in America this Thursday
$22,022-To-Win / $1,000-To-Start FK Rod Ends Tarheel 50 on Deck

AUSTIN, Texas (October 4, 2022) — Castrol® FloRacing Night in America thunders into Ray Cook’s Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) this Thursday, October 6 for the FK Rod Ends Tarheel 50 presented by Jacky Jones Automotive Group, which is headlined by a $22,022-to-win / $1,000-to-start finale.

The event will mark the eighth round of the season and Bobby Pierce enters the event on a hot streak with back-to-back miniseries wins. Pierce established history by becoming the first back-to-back winner in the first two years of the tour and he also became the first two-time winner in 2022.

Other tour victories this year have been claimed by Kyle Larson, Jonathan Davenport, Dennis Erb Jr., Brandon Sheppard, and Hudson O’Neal.

Sheppard currently holds a 91-point advantage over Bobby Pierce in pursuit of the 2022 Castrol® FloRacing Night in America title. Tyler Erb, Mike Marlar, Ricky Thornton Jr., Hudson O’Neal, Garrett Alberson, Devin Moran, Stormy Scott, and Dennis Erb Jr. round out the Top-10 in the latest standings.

Joining the night’s action at Tri-County Racetrack will be the final track point’s event for local divisions, featuring Interstate Welding 602 Late Models ($600-to-win), Street Stocks ($400-to-win), Open Wheel Modifieds ($400-to-win), and FWD ($300-to-win).

The Super Late Model tire rule for the event is as follows:
All Four Corners: Hoosier 1350, Hoosier 21, American Racer SD-48
Right-Rear additional options: Hoosier 1600, Hoosier 55, American Racer MD-56

Pits open at 3:00pm EST with grandstands opening at 4:00pm and driver’s meeting at 6:00pm with hot laps to follow.

Grandstand admission (ages 17-and-up) is $30, kids (ages 11-16) $15, and children (ages 10-and-under) are free with a paying adult. Pit admission (ages 17-and-up) are $45, kids (ages 11-16) $25, and children (ages 10-and-under) are free with a paying adult.

Senior citizens receive $3 off admission.
